"Victoria Clube de Golfe" is a magnificent championship course, occupying a total of 90 hectares and with a total distance of 6,560 meters off the back tees. Every care has been taken to ensure the preservation of the existing wetlands, the typical vegetation of carob, olive and almond trees. Several strategically placed lakes form an integral part of this course, occupying 13 hectares, and serve the dual purpose of environmental conforming reservoirs for irrigation purposes as well breathtaking views over the golf course. With 5/6 tees per hole, wide and undulating fairways, extensive water obstacles and well positioned bunkers, Victoria will reward heroic and ambitious shots. Another distinguishing feature must be the masterfully designed greens with totally different shapes and sizes, always true and firm, a real pleasure to putt on!
This course has played host to the 2005 World Cup and will once again be on the forefront with the "Portugal Masters", a European Tour event, being held there in October. The 2007 tournament will have a prize fund of three million Euros, making it Portugal's richest golf tournament and will surely attract some of the world's top golfers!
